Zid Zid Kids Design Values

Fair Trade
Zid Zid Kids holds the firm belief that fair trade is the only trade. We work directly with our artisans; from concept, to finished product to final packaging. We work along side our artists and pay only fair wages. Our artists work independently in their own workshops and support their families with their wages. Zid Zid Kids is proud to be recognized as a leading Artisan in the Kingdom of Morocco and for excellence in quality and workplace standards by the American Chamber of Commerce in Morocco.

Respect of the Environment
Zid Zid Kids is 100% committed to safekeeping the environment in every aspect. All materials are sourced locally in Marrakech, reducing the carbon footprint. Recycled and reclaimed fabrics are used throughout the line, tapping into the abundance of leftover fabrics from local large manufactures. Recycled cotton and sponge scraps are used to fill the Poofs. The leather is cured by hand, using methods that are thousands of years old. Our fabrics are chemical and phalate-free.

Handmade in Morocco
Zid Zid Kids is 100% committed to Morocco for its inspiration and as its sole supplier and manufacturing center. Every Zid Zid Kids product is designed and produced in Marrakech by Moroccan artisans using a combination of thousand-year-old traditions and modern day techniques.

Keen Eye on Design
It is Zid Zid Kids mission to create only the most interesting, inspired, well-designed with a high level of human touch, products for kids and parents alike. Zid Zid Kids have been honored with top design awards in France at Maison&Objet and in Amsterdam, Holland at Kleine Fabriek, and in Morocco.

Essakalli & Klear are themselves raising 2 young children and are mindful to only create products that not simply make life more fun, but are easy to use and ethically produced with high European safety standards.
